Driving a semi-truck means your cab is your office, your living room, and your bedroom all rolled into one. When the summer heat hits the Texas Panhandle and the surrounding Tri-State area, a malfunctioning air conditioning system isn't just an inconvenience—it’s a safety hazard.
If your truck’s A/C is blowing warm air or barely blowing at all, it’s time to diagnose the problem. Before you get stranded in the heat, let’s take a look at the most common semi truck AC parts that fail and how to get your rig back to a comfortable temperature.
1. The Truck AC Compressor: The Heart of the System
When it comes to heavy duty truck parts, the truck AC compressor is arguably the most critical component of your cooling system. It pumps the refrigerant through the lines and pressurizes it so it can cool the cab.

The Problem: Over time, compressors can seize up, leak refrigerant, or suffer from clutch failure.

2. The Condenser: Blocked or Damaged
Located right in front of the radiator, the condenser radiates the heat absorbed from the cab out into the atmosphere. Because of its location at the front of the truck, it takes a beating from road debris, bugs, and dust.

5. Cabin Air Filters
